The Learning Channel’s groundbreaking series, Rides, originally made its debut in 2003 as a pilot program taking an insider’s look at hard-core hot rodding.

Focusing on cool cars and interviews with builders like two-time Riddler Award winner Chip Foose, Rides also heard from Jim Holloway of Mothers® Polish among other experts in the hobby.

The pilot soon launched ten episodes that originally aired between January 6 and March 16, with repeat air dates currently scheduled.

In two of the episodes are Troy Trepanier and Chip Foose have been featured in their own testimonial TV commercials for Mothers® Polish (see Reel World at powertour.mothersarchive.com).

Episode two, “Fast Forward Fastback,” features Trepanier and his team at Rad Rides By Troy where they build a forward-looking ’67 Mustang for ebay Motors to make its debut at the 2003 SEMA show.

“Big Miniature,” the fourth episode in the series, shows how Foose takes a diecast toy and turns it into a full-size driver with expertise from the modeling people at 5Axis. Helping to meet its debut at SEMA, finish expert Jim Holloway of Mothers® Polish helped to put the final touch on the paint’s shine.

The guys at Mothers® Polish, respected hot rodders in their own right, have played a key role in providing insight into this exciting hobby. At times providing production and technical assistance, Jim Holloway is also an associate producer for several of the episodes.
